BALTIMORE, MD  – The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in Dundalk, Baltimore County, Maryland.

The preliminary investigation revealed that on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Baltimore County Police Department (BCPD) officers responded to multiple 911 calls for reports of shots fired at a residence in the 2100 block of Larkhall Road in Dundalk, Maryland. Shortly after arrival, officers observed a man inside the residence standing at a second-floor window. At that time, multiple officers indicated he was armed. Officers discharged their service weapons striking the man. A BCPD tactical team responded to the scene and established a barricade. Approximately 2 hours after the shooting, officers made entry into the home. The man was found inside on the first floor of the residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. EMS crews pronounced him dead on the scene. Two firearms were recovered from inside the home near the window where officers initially observed the man. No officers were injured during this incident.

Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact the IID at (410) 576-7070 or by email at [email protected]

The IID will generally release the name of the decedent and discharging officers within two business days of the incident, although that period may be extended, if necessary, pursuant to IID protocol.

The officers on scene were equipped with body-worn cameras, which recorded the incident. The IID will generally release body-worn camera footage within 20 business days of an incident. There may be situations where more than 20 days is necessary, including if investigators need more time to complete witness interviews, if there are technical delays caused by the need to shield the identities of civilian witnesses, or to allow family members to view the video before it is released to the public.
